This cast iron and wooden bench is an Early 20^th century Indian copy of an English style bench from the 19^th Century. The dense cast iron ends would have been used as ballast on returning trade ships. It is the perfect counterpoint or companion to modern garden furniture. Already showing hallmarks of a lifetime of utility, this hefty bench promises to continue doing so for many years to come.
