Rustic Elm Sideboard From Shanxi – 19thC

This rustic sideboard is made from an old farmhouse grain store. The carcass is original and the doors have been modified as this piece originally would have been top opening. It dates to the 19th century and is made from elm wood. This piece would have come from the border area of Mongolia and Shanxi Province, China.

This simple, yet, sophisticated design would look great both in a contemporary setting or in a more traditional home.
