Architectural Mug Gasometer Green

Gasholders 8, 10, 11 and 12 were built in the 1860s for the storage of gas from Pancras Gasworks. The holders were decommissioned in the late twentieth century, and the highly decorative frames were restored as the part of the King’s Cross redevelopment plan. The frames now house apartments designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects.
