Bleached Indian Doors From Bikaner – 19th Century

These Indian doors from Bikaner would have once been covered in extravagant painting and after many years in the Thar desert have been sun-bleached. Unusual for Indian doors, they are walk through height at 204cm tall. They are constructed from roheda wood which is similar to teak wood and used almost exclusively in Northern Rajasthan.
