Blue & White Porcelain Hat Stand – Lucky Symbols

This reproduction Chinese hexagonal blue & white glazed porcelain hat stand has been hand painted with scholarly symbols meant to bring great wisdom.

This hat stand is hand made on the potters wheel in the traditional way although this design is more challenging as it is difficult to turn an angled shape on a potters wheel.
Porcelain is steeped in centuries of Chinese culture and history.

Even though pottery developed in China 15,000 years ago, most experts believe that true porcelain -which also originated in China – didn’t emerge in the region until the Han Dynasty -202 BC to 220 AD.
