Inspired by historic archives, these pieces celebrate exceptional British design and enduring craftsmanship. Crafted in the UK from soft recycled polyester, these machine washable runners combine Highgrove by Sanderson’s archival designs and Hug Rug’s exceptional British manufacturing, bringing luxury to everyday living. Adapted from a portion of the ‘Orange Tree’ designed by Walter Crane and printed in 1902, Ancient Apple Orchard has been repainted in the Sanderson studio to depict Highgrove’s Kitchen Garden and apple tunnel, showcasing the ancient red apples used in Highgrove produce and in the on-site restaurant. The design features sweeping boughs, on a deep blue background, with red apples and apple blossom to reflect the ancient apple varieties cultivated in the gardens.
