Care Instruction
- Your sofa cushion bears the brunt of day-to-day use. In order to keep them looking and feeling at their best, we recommend the following:
- Cushions tend to flatten over time this is a normal part of wear and tear. By plumping your sofa cushions regularly, you can extend their life and keep them looking fuller for longer. Foam cushions require plumping at least once a week. Fibre cushions require more frequent attention to keep them looking their best we recommend daily.
- If the design of the sofa allows, flip your cushions periodically to ensure even wear on each side.
- Routine Cleaning: Wipe down all surfaces weekly using a clean, soft microfibre cloth dampened with warm water to prevent dirt build-up.
- Dusting & Vacuuming: Use a soft brush attachment on your vacuum to gently clear dust and debris from seams, crevices, and under cushions.
- Cushion Maintenance: Plump and rotate (if possible) regularly to retain their shape and ensure even wear.
- Stain & Spill Removal: Dab spills immediately with an absorbent, dry cloth. For stubborn spots, use a mild, diluted soap solution or a specialist faux leather cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, abrasive sponges, or alcohol-based solvents as they will strip the protective finish.
- Direct Sunlight: Avoid placing your sofa in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure causes the synthetic material to fade, dry out, and crack over time. If near windows, rotate or reposition the sofa periodically.
- Heat Sources: Keep the sofa at least 30 cm away from radiators, fireplaces, and heating vents to prevent the faux leather from drying out or melting.
- Hot & Sharp Objects: Avoid placing hot mugs, plates, or sharp objects directly on the sofa surface, as extreme heat and sharp edges can permanently melt or puncture the material.
- Colour Transfer Warning: Be cautious with unwashed dark denim or brand-new dyed fabrics, as dyes can transfer onto lighter-coloured faux leather and become permanent.
