Contemporary Design with Natural Elements
The Shorwell Black & Marble Side Table brings together the sophistication of black-stained oak with the natural beauty of real marble. Its smooth white Calacatta marble top features subtle grey veining that ensures every piece is distinct, while slender cylindrical legs give the table a sturdy foundation without taking up visual space in smaller rooms.
Crafted with care, the slatted wooden apron adds visual interest around the drawer front, while the rounded oval silhouette softens harsh angles and creates a fluid transition beside your seating or bed.
The central drawer and solid tabletop give you dedicated space for reading lamps, remotes, and evening drinks.
Versatile Styling Options
Designed for everyday flexibility, this side table transitions effortlessly between rooms. Position it as an understated bedside table in the bedroom, set it beside a lounge chair as a practical lamp table, or place it in a narrow hallway to hold keys and mail.
Quality Craftsmanship
Built for daily life, the Shorwell side table combines stained oak timber and oak veneers over high-grade manufactured wood components. The top is cut from real marble, carefully selected for its natural patterning and polished smooth for straightforward dusting and care.
Perfect Style Pairings
The bold black finish offers striking visual contrast in neutral, modern minimalist, contemporary glam or Scandinavian-inspired interiors. It pairs effortlessly with textured linen bedding, leather armchairs, or warm wooden floorboards.
Combine it with light walls to make the slatted detail pop, or style alongside matching pieces from the Shorwell range for a cohesive look across your home.
What is Calacatta Marble?
Calacatta marble offers a beautiful, distinctive look. It’s known for its striking, thick grey veins which contrast the snow-white colour of the stone. This stunning material is only found in one quarry in the world, which is located in Carrara, Northern Italy. No two slabs are the same, so every piece from the range has its own character and story to tell – perfect for creating a stunning talking point in your home!
Marble Care
Marble brings a stunning and distinctive character to any piece and, with the right care, is a hard-wearing option that can last many years. The key to marble care is to clean spills as quickly as possible – acidic substances like juice or wine can affect the look of the stone so wipe them up immediately. Using a mat or coaster can reduce the risk of liquids coming into contact with the marble in the first place. Marble is easy to wipe clean – just dust with a dry microfibre cloth. Use a mild soap and warm water if need be, but avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach at all costs.
